Here's some info about one of the young women Imus called a whore:

.....
A straight ''A'' student during her time at the Rosa Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts in Paterson, Carson also plays the piano, saxophone and bass guitar.
When "Ma Betty," as she was known around Paterson and at the Christ United Methodist Church where she was actively involved, passed away, Carson had a special pendant made featuring a black-and-white photo of her grandmother and the years of her birth and death.
"It's something that motivates me, just knowing that my grandmother would want me to do the best, do the best in life and achieve the best," Carson said in an interview in 2005. "So it's pushing me to strive even harder toward greatness."

FOR THE STAR-LEDGER
Essence Carson's reputation preceded her. Before she even stepped on Paterson Eastside's court as a 13-year-old, she was known as a much-heralded power forward from Martin Luther King school.
But Carson knew that couldn't last. At 5-11, she needed to become a much-heralded guard.
"She was a tremendous athlete and by far the best basketball player in her age group," Paterson Eastside coach Ed Black said. "But if she wanted to play in college, she'd have to be a guard. That became a project in high school."
Carson threw herself into self-improvement.
"I worked hard on my ballhandling and outside shooting and improved my knowledge of the game," she said. "I loved basketball since day one and my passion for it grew."
In the last four years, Carson has worked tirelessly on her game, elevating herself to All-America status and earning a scholarship to Rutgers.
"What separates Essence is that she's a relentless worker and a true competitor," Black said. "She doesn't want to fail at anything. Even in practices she wants to finish first in sprints, and that's the way she is in the classroom."
The soft-spoken senior -- who is also a standout volleyball player -- used her unwavering work ethic, diverse talents and athleticism to finish her career as Paterson Eastside's all-time leading scorer with 1,808 points. This season she accumulated 531 points and had a 17.1 scoring average to go with nine rebounds per game.
She also helped Paterson Eastside win its third consecutive Passaic County Tournament championship, its third straight Division B title of the Northern New Jersey Interscholastic League and its first NJSIAA Group 4 championship. Eastside advanced to the Tournament of Champions final before losing to top-ranked Shabazz, 55-34.
"For myself and seniors Nasheema Johnson, Faquaya Rollins and Antionette Linney, winning the Group 4 championship was our goal for four years and the finest moment for me," Carson said. "What I'll miss most is the bond that we had."
An accomplished pianist, she will attend the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers in hopes of becoming involved in the music production business and teaching.
