richardred,

We have recognized the long term trend of improving revenues, profits, and business activity of the railroads since 2005. Your analysis of Portec was right square on the money.

Buffett is right there with us, but just a little late.

Another thing we should learn is, Buffet bought the railroad or Burlington Northern Sante Fe, NOT the service company or supplier to the railroad. He is betting on the big picture not the periphery like I am with FreightCar America. I have seen deliveries and business of the Union Pacific Intermodal rail yard in Denver increase over 4 times since 2002 and have not bought 1 share of UP stock. Maybe, both of us ought to think this over.

Again, your analysis of the railroads was right on and earlier than most.

I have to ask, do you live by -- or drive by a rail yard seeing (and HEARING!#!#!) this the increasing business all the time, or did you gain your insight on the increasing activity of the railroads in another way?

Continued good luck investing,

Carey
