Well, I struggle with that as well. How can we get the bad actors to not develop nukes when we have more than anyone else? It is very hypocritical. But at the end of the day, Middle Easterners see no problem in killing innocents every day. 9/11 was just a small sample of that. We agonize over the death of 1 person. So that tells me Western societies are far more advanced when it comes to human rights and so we have all sorts of societal taboos that would hold us back from another nuclear war. In the Middle East, they have fatwas that justify the killing of up to 10,000,000 Americans. So although our actions seem hypocritical, I believe that hypocracy is completely justified.

That's not true. You are suggesting that the mindset of the Islamic terrorists represents all Islamic people. So then, following that logic, do the attitudes of Tim McVeigh and the guy who planted explosive during the Olympic games in Atlanta......do their attitudes represent all Americans? Of course they don't......terrorists are a special breed whether they are American, Irish or Islamic.

In fact the reality is that last summer, every Lebanese who lost a love one during the Israeli bombings went nuts with grief. Don't you see your letting your bias decide the nature of an entire people?. If there are more terrorists among Islamic countries than in the US, its because living conditions and repression are just that much greater in those countries.

FDR said "what we have to fear is fear itself". You're letting fear rule you instead of logic.
