This is about life in America. This is about American values. I care about us. Kids going to Rutgers and playing basketball didn't do anything to Don Imus. Why is he making obscene racist and sexist remarks against these kids before millions of listeners and viewers. What if it were your daughter and somebody made comparable comments against them in front of millions of people? How is it funny or in anyway right for people to call and use hatefull language against anyone. I know most of the people on this thread disagree with me but I find Don Imus behavior in this instance extremely upsetting. Well you certainly missed the point I was trying to make. Why is it fine for Black entertainers to refer to white women as ho's and bitches, but for a white man to say the same thing about black women and it is a disaster. Why is it proper for black entertainers to show black and white women as pieces of meat, and call them Ho's and Bitches in Music Videos and in movies and no one objects? why is it just Don Imus is a terrible person? Frankly I am tired of the double standard that says that if a black leader calls for the death of white jews it is rhetorical, and allowed, but if a White man makes an equally stupid comment it is heresy. Like it or not Don Imus lives in a culture where black men call women Ho's and bitches in every kind of media, perhaps the solution is for women to demand better from black men. But if you insist on allowing people to call degrading women art, and insist that because they are Black it is acceptable, then expect the rest of the culture come to the same conclusion. Look at the way Black American Culture glorifies Pimps and Drug Dealers and then get back to me about their sensitivity on the subject.
