do i believe 50% of the population is
racist? unfortunately, yes. absolutely.
why else would this imus guy be so popular?
i think he's a reflection of a large part
of society.
maybe most are not overtly racist, you know,
don't speak openly in a racist manner, but
in terms of what they think - yes. because
most people are afraid of differences - in
culture, ethic background, language, religion,
manner of dress, colour of skin. the list
goes on and on. and they are afraid to be labelled
racist. hell, they're cowards as well. now
you've got me going <g>
For I have a lot of experience on both sides of the border..
i can tell - you are very open and welcoming.
not closed and rejecting as so many, who do not
have such experience are, both in canada and the
u.s. we each have our small minded 'rednecks'.
Forming a small, pubicly traded, precious metal company with friends in Vancouver and then selling out and sort of retiring.. :)..
