PDL BioPharma loses chairman in fight with Alexion San Francisco Business Times - 1:59 PM PDT Monday, April 9, 2007 Max Link, chairman of PDL BioPharma Inc., quit that job on Monday because he is also chairman of a company PDL is suing in a patent fight. Link has been on Fremont-based PDL's board for 10 years, but he is also chairman of rival Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc., which PDL has sued. PDL replaced him with Patrick Gage, who has worked on its board since 2003.
