One can use lemons to make lemonade. HAL is going higher, like it or not. And I will use the profits to do good things. Cramer has a similar philosophy. Sponsoring children through the Christian Children's Fund or similar outfit only costs about $24/mo. each. I sponsor 6 in African countries and it is amazing how for so little money one can have a really positive effect in their lives. If we make money investing or in other ways, I think we should complete the circle by giving back. There is a deeper wisdom in so doing. You are right, HALs move to Dubai is likely to try and avoid taxes and investigations, but they are not going away anytime soon. But I'd rather twist that money train into something that offsets any bad actions. A small step in the right direction is a start.
