pat- All of America should be lifting up those girls as examples of what hard work can accomplish and praise them for their achievement. no doubt. you and i know that, as do many women, but there are a whole lot of jocks that couldn't care less. case in point. h-man wanted to catch the first period in the final womens world championship hockey game between canada and the u.s. at the legion last night. cbc.ca two minutes into the first period, a couple guys switched the channel to catch the opener in baseball. baseball opener on one hand - gold championship game on the other. now, no one called these women nappy headed ho's, but i KNOW they were thinking "lesbo bitches". there are a whole lot of jocks out there that have absolutely no interest nor any appreciation of women's sports. what i find astounding is that so many are surprised by it. -rose
