Jon,

Understand that this is devils advocate, but I think there is a value added question. Q gets paid for their core CDMA IP, but as the basic cell phone morphs into a multifunctional device where most functions are independent Q's IP, reasonable people might ask why are we paying QCOM for this. Those of us who endured the cell technology wars understand how we got here, but a jury might not be persuaded. Most of the contracts were signed when a cell phone was just a cell phone.
