VeraSun cut at UBS, shares vulnerable to pull-back

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- UBS downgraded ethanol maker VeraSun Energy Corp. (VSE :
to reduce from neutral, saying the recent 40% rally in the shares has been fed by gains in oil and gasoline in part due to a decline in corn costs. The broker told clients that as oil recedes and corn steadies, it believes VeraSun shares could be vulnerable to a pull-back. UBS added it doesn't believe the company's stock deserves the significant premium to its peers and said the valuation gap with Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR .
