I just talked to Schwab's global desk again. I told him both Merrill and Ameritrade were allowing their clients to buy the warrants. His response: either they aren't aware of the law or they are taking a less restrictive view of it. either way, their compliance people wouldn't let them do it.

I sold some of the CLG I had in my IRA where I was overweight right after the announcement. I shoulda sold it all. I decided to tender the rest. it will be the first thing I sell when I'm looking to lighten up on PMs.
