But what does Iran have to gain in provoking Bush?

Iran is the 120 lb weakling that the bullies used to kick sand in its face. Getting nukes is the equivalent of getting heft from working out with weights. And during the 1980s, who was the biggest bully to Iran besides Saddam?

This could turn into a VERY nasty war in which the US spends another half trillion and Iran experiences regime change.

And why is that? Because we have two sets of leaders on both sides with weak egos. The leadership of Iran is the mirror image of the idiots in DC.

Neither side would like that very much. So why taunt Bush? Bush is like a mad bull. I certainly wouldn't taunt him if I was in Iran's position.

At this point, Iran figures the US is so overstretched that if Bush attacks, Iran just might win. I agree...its a stupid gambit. But remember, the US has become isolated in the world thanks to Bush so that we can't count on any support if we attack. More worrisome to me is not that we might not win but what it will do to our already stretched fiscal mess.

That's why its imperative that we, the people, maintain restraint and keep Bush from attacking.
