Re: Miners - people on various mining thread have commented negatively about CDE 's management. I have traded CDE short and made money a few years ago.

A number of people with good track records like GSS. I own some.

PAAS is a current producer of both silver and zinc.
SSRI has lots of silver in the ground, but little current production, so it is more of a call option.

They can behave differently.
If there is huge spike in silver, and people think the spike is so short term SSRI would not be a to get a mine into production before the spike dropped back, that belief may limit SSRIs price.

With every piece of mining equipment in the world sold out for a year in advance for tar sands, coal, iron, gold, copper, moly and now uranium, that may be a risk.

I like and have owned both PAAS and SSRI, and will likely buy them again.

Note that AUY Yamana gold has been pushed by Jim Cramer. Just something to note. I have never owned it (thought it was a motorcycle company), but some people on this thread have made a boat load on AUY.
