I guess I consider this good news. I have done something to irritate the knee by jarring it but I have not broken anything or knocked any spurs loose. That means that in a week or two the knee will be back to where it was before I jarred it. The next decision was could I live with my knee the way it was a week ago and while I can't straighten it I do walk without a limp and can do the elliptical for my exercise so the answer to that is yes. Though the knee is in bad shape I could live my life with it so we will not be scheduling a replacement yet. He really, really wants me to make it at least 4 more years.

He also said though that I'm one tough SOB. He said I have the worst knee he has ever seen that isn't replaced already. He has replaced many, many knees in much better condition then mine. I don't think of myself as tough but I just don't feel pain like a lot of people I think. I've never had a headache in my life for instance.

So for everyone who wished me well, thank you and I shall just move on smartly now.
