We can run our cars on whale oil! A renewable resource! Build big pens in the ocean and grow 'em like veal! Extract the oil with giant liposuction machines, so that no whales die.. I think the point is, we found a way around the problem. Personally, I think we could all do with commuting on bicycles anyway - we're all WAY too fat! Put a POSITIVE spin on peak oil, global warming, asteroid impacts..
