B: I guess I should have read this post,too, before I responded to the last one. So, you're another guy who thinks "nice" is the kiss of death...may be some truth to that. I think a lot of women are conflicted between wanting a man who has the ability to be sensitive
while at the same time do not like wimps or someone they cannot look up to. Joe's appeal, I think,is in his vulnerability and lack of pretension. Lack of pretension is appealing because it connotes self assurance. In other words, Joe can have wild hair and wear a stupid tie because those things don't detract from his self esteem. So, the answer, IMHO, is to be comfortable with your own style and to at least try to be aware of the impact your actions have on others. In other words, don't be a better broadcaster than receiver, be a two-way radio! mph
