Many of the "insurgents" are from other countries. They go to Iraq to attack Americans. If Americans weren't there, yes, they'd go elsewhere to find them - that might be Afghanistan, it might the US, it might be elsewhere.

It is nonsense to say Bush has created terrorists. Before the Iraq war, the same people hated us for starving 50,000 Iraqi babies a year to death - whether that was true or not pretty much everyone in the Muslim world believed it.

You liberals who imagine that Bush is our only enemy are fools. Remember the 911 attack came before the Iraq war. So did the 1993 WTC bombing. So did the USS Cole bombing. So did the African embassy bombings. So did the assassination of Lawrence Foley. So did the Khobar Towers bombing. I could go on and on here listing terror attacks on Americans.
