My sister bought a wig to match her natural hair before the chemo started. She made an appointment with the wig shop/hairdresser, took two friends with her, and a bottle of champagne. The hairdresser shaved her head, after first giving her a mohawk, they took pictures and drank champagne. She walked out in the new wig with tears running down her cheeks. By the way, she has found she rarely wears the expensive wig, she prefers scarves and turbans and earrings.
