I am sorry, if she is legally incompetent, why were her charges given so much weight? If she is not legally incompetent, why isn't she being charged? Surely the Prosecutors office is not in a position to determine her sanity, if it took her charges seriously. OTOH having her charged and found not guilty because of mental defect offers some defence to the boys who were charged and also gives then grounds for lawsuits. Not charging her and proving her mental state is probably in the states financial best interests. If Someone gives her money to go to college is that seizable?
