If it happened to my children I would be laughing my ass off just like I do when I hear Italian gangster jokes, Catholic jokes, short jokes, etc.... It's not the words that are important. It's the context in which they are said.

Imus is a offensive clown every day on every subject. He calls his wife a "green haired ho" insinuating she married him for his money. It's all a joke.

If people are overly sensitive, lacking the intelligence to understand where he is coming from, or unfamiliar with the show, then there's a problem. But the idea should be to explain where he is coming from so people don't take him seriously. Those that are hypersensitive should just change the channel. There's not much we can do about the idiots that will never get the humor.
