Laz, Being of an age where health care systems are important to me, I have experienced that a new system doesn't need to be designed, but the present system needs to take more action against fraud that is draining the pot by doctors, hospitals, ambulance companies, labs, and other types of medical care. I have been in three hospitals in 2006 (nothing serious, but needed to be corrected), and witnessed how all aspects of the medical community are stealing millions, or billions, of dollars just like a criminal with a gun in his hand.
As long as a system depends on government employees to police such graft, and fraud, nothing will change. On several occasions I have sent information to the fraud department of Medicare, and no one lifted a finger to rectify the situation.
In 1994 I spent a year in Tahlequah, OK to help the Cherokee with a projuct, and worked with Cherokees, Creeks, and Southern Arapahos, during that time. An Arapaho and me became good friends and we did some bar hopping at times. You ain't seen a bar fight until you have a bunch of drunk Indians involved. After a particularly gay old time, the Arapaho gave me the name of Haqihana, which in his native language means "wolf". Since that is one of my favorite animals, I kept the moniker. |
