Your post may have been factual, but your comparisons imply a degree of Chinese virtue that is unwarranted. It's nice that China saved a few Japanese kids, and it's great to see Japan and China making up. But China has a shocking history of treating its own children poorly, so I don't see any Chinese moral superiority over Japan in this regard.

It's true that misguided American policies in places such as Vietnam and Iraq have resulted in many infant deaths. But it was also US military power that liberated China from Japan. It was brutal, and we probably killed a lot of Japanese babies in the process. But without US involvement, China could well have been genocided out of existence.
