On Being "Americanized" ...

Brian,

<< Wow. Eric. Did you think those Chinese Wireless admins then were based their GSM decision purely on the technical merits of GSM systems then? >>

No Brian, I don't.

I do know that those admins that visited San Diego were "bright enough" and "wise enough" to know that CDMA was not sufficiently mature to implement on the time scale they felt was necessary, had already determined was necessary, to implement digiral mobile wireles telephony.

<< you are too Americanized or you just did not understand how Chinese government officers and those so called "clean" European Nokia and Ericsson Chinese rep. did their telecomm. businesses within China. Please do not think China chose GSM because GSM was more mature than CDMA. It was more like choosing GSM that would provide them a better return to their pockets. Sigh. >>

Sigh is right, Brian, and if you would like to deal with fact instead of fiction I'd suggest you read the works of Dr. William Y,C. Lee of PacTel/Airtouch on that subject. He and QUALCOMM's Alan Salmasi worked extremely hard to encourage the Chinese to consider adopting CDMA, and there is probably no better "American" to comment on the why and wherefore of their decision than Bill Lee.

Please save your "you are too Americanized" horse$hit, bull puckey, and cow flap, for a more sympathetic ear, and take your all to recurring infantile prejudices and racism elsewhere. We all live and work in a global village and I have extremely low tolerance for individuals with the clichyes you attempt to perpetrate.
