To Nihil My husband and I farm. I agree subsidies should be eliminated. However, put the farmer on a level playing field first! Many buy commodities to assure a profit- Try competing with other countries who have no chemical controls, government subsidies, low wages and few government regulations. The idea that every farmer is rolling in the money is ridiculous. Check out how many go under each year. It is much easier to make money in the market! Billie.
