Have you bought a memory foam mattress topper? When we bought ours one of the reviews I read was from someone with a disintegrated disc, and he said it made a tremendous difference to him.

I was tired of fighting with the feather bed, and the nightmare of having it dry cleaned and never coming back right. The foam smells for the first two weeks- so if you get one put it in a screen porch for a few weeks before you put it on your bed.
