Since this is a week-end as Dale says I will throw this out for your eschewing...
Been running around this morning, getting ready for the very bad weather scheduled to hit Jersey tomorrow (Sunday). And haven't logged on for a while. I see Dale is in Texas and probably saw the same weather system come through yesterday.
As for this piece, if Google is correct, the author, Burt Prelutsky, is a scriptwater in California, looks to be in the movie industry, around LA, though I'm not certain. In addition to scripts, he writes right wing tracts of the same level of argumentation as this one. And he is published on WorldNetDaily. That last point pretty well does it for me.
As for the piece itself, it's a recognizable hit job. In this case, take a bad personal experience, mischaracterize it as everyone else's fault (all those group think Commie writers), generalize a made up characteristic--group think--to folk of a different political stripe, Democratic party members, some of whom are liberal, left of liberal, and right of liberal.
One of the killer rebuttals about the Dem party is Will Rogers' comment, something to the effect he was not a member of any organized political party, he was a Democrat. |
