1. No, I don't remember the question ever coming up. Are you suggesting you wouldn't mind the law so much if they would just not enforce it?

2. Oh, so you're against smoking bans, too? You mean in restaurants and public buildings and such? I may regret asking, but, pray tell, why?

3. I don't. Clearly you don't understand the issue. The higher frequency and greater severity of injuries when people don't wear seat belts have effects beyond the pain and suffering of those individuals.

Oh, BTW, you didn't answer my question about child safety seat and child seatbelt laws. Does government have any legitimate interest in the safety of children riding with adults potentially neglectful of their passengers' safety? Or does the freedom of stupidity make that off limits, too?
