The New York Times today has three Wolfowitz's stories. For the interested. My take now is that he will have to resign because he has completely lost the staff. Here is a link to a news analysis of Wolfowitz' position which argues that much of the discontent comes from the more general discontent with the Bush administration around the globe. While this is written by David Sanger, one of their better reporters, the argument strikes me as disingenuous. That might be one of the factors but Wolfowitz' management style looks to be a far more powerful one. nytimes.com And here's a link to an article the thesis of which is that Wolfowitz is pretty much alone on this one. nytimes.com And, finally, a short piece on Wolfowitz' companion who is at the center of the most immediate controversy. nytimes.com Oh, and I should add, the Financial Times yesterday had a second editorial calling for his resignation.
