MY ANSWERS IN CAPS
- universal health care
What does that mean? Is there socialized medicine? That's what universal health care means everywhere else.

- multiple language education system
Besides Chinese (CANTONESE / MANDARIN) and English what are the other languages in HK's education system?

An english inheritance we have too.
NO YOU DO NOT QUITE. HERE LOSER PAYS ALL COSTS, AND NO CLASS ACTION BS, AND NO CONTIGENCY FEE ARRANGEMENT.

NO, YOU DO NOT. YOU HAVE TO FILE A LOT OF FORMS, ANY OF WHICH CAN GET YOU IN TROUBLE, EVEN THOUGH YOUR MONEY OUGHT TO BE YOUR BUSINESS ALONE.
- immigration procedure
WE HAVE MINIMUM PROCEDURE. GETTING MY MOM IN FOREVER TOOK 2 WEEKS WAITING PLUS A 20 MIN PROCESS. GETTING MY KID'S NANNY IN IN TOOK NO TIME AT ALL.

We have that.
NO YOU DO NOT. YOU HAVE FOLKS WHO HABITUALLY TRY TO IMPOSE. WE HAVE INNATE ABILITY TO TOLERATE. BIG DIFFERENCE.

INDUBITABLY.
- non-issue as regards to sexual orientation
Ditto here. Does HK have gay marriage? No, just like here and our liberals would say its cause you're bigots.
BIG DIFFERENCE. HERE THE ISSUE IS NOT EVEN MUCH OF A TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION, BECAUSE IT IS INNATELY UNDERSTOOD TO BE NO ONE ELSE'S BUSINESS.
YOUR PARTS MAKE POLITICAL ISSUES OUT OF IT, AND CRAFT LAWS AROUND IT.
NO GAY MARRIAGES HERE IN A LEGAL RECOGNITION SENSE, BUT ALL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS CAN BE CRAFTED BY WRITTEN AGREEMENTS THAT CAN WITHSTAND LEGAL CHALLENGES.
- no big deal as regard to publishing
Very free here too. You can speak or print anti-government things all you want here for example.

so far, china mainland is gravitating towards hk, and hk has not budged one bit, because freedom is seductive
Good.
I THINK SO TOO.
For the USA to even come close, its government would have to be shredded to 1/20 its current size, on per capita basis, for starters, at all levels, and gradually trimmed back more, for the next 10 years, and its tax forms would have to be reduced to 2 sheets of paper, one for personal and one for corporations.
I like the sound of much of that. I don't know about 1/20 but a shrinkage would be good.
IMAGINE IT, AND SENSE THE FREEDOM. HK IS WHERE ONE OLD LADY LIVING IN GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZED HOUSING SCUDDLED THE GOVERNMENT SPONSORED IPO OF THE PUBLIC HOUSING ESTATE REIT VIA LEGAL SYSTEM WITHOUT MUCH EXPENSE. THAT IS POWER OVER THE GOVERNMENT AND OFFICIALDOM ACCOUNTABILITY. AS SOON AS THE ISSUE WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND LADY HAPPY, IPO WAS DONE, A FEW MONTHS LATER. |
