I think what surprises me the most about the Imus flap is the angst of the media. All the talking head Sunday morning shows are devoting major segments to the brouhaha (after all, it's all about THEM, right?).

I can't help but wonder what the reaction would be if it had been Rush Limbaugh or Hannidy who made the comment instead of Imus. I'd speculate that the angst would be gloating.

(And yes, I realize that neither Rush nor Hannidy would make such a comment.)
