Is the info in wiki correct re the 1986 Goldwater-Nichols Act? The bottom piece says it was successfully used during the Gulf War... What is the difference now? That we did win the war in Iraq, but weren't equipped to do everything else, including MAKE the peace happen? I'm sure we didn't believe at the top levels of the government that the Iraqis were not capable of much of anything...not taking over once they could, and rebuilding their entire country, as well as creating a government for all factions of people who live there. Were we just too PC, and bending over backwards to help people assuming they would have the will once free. We didn't assume they would carry on their centuries old feuds. en.wikipedia.org
