the greatest generation would say the war on terrorism isn't that hard,

I had two WWII veterans in my home yesterday. My father and my father-in-law.

My dad was Army. My wife's dad was Navy. Both are in their 80s, but unusually well-informed, bright and active.

They were ears attentive all afternoon. Both left saying it is much more complicated than they ever imagined. I gave each several books and articles to read and we agreed to continue the discussion after they did that.
