As citizens you can demand that the Democrats support the troops, and stop harassing the president while the troops are in Iraq and Afghanistan. You can suggest to advertizers on CNN that CNN slants the news, and that you will not buy their products until they stop their advertizing on CNN. Point out that you feel CNN is not patriotic. There is lots Americans can do. Turn on Fox instead of CNN. Ask the Local Veterans of Foreign Wars how you can help.
