I recently purchased this all-original, pristine 1943-45 solid 18k Universal Geneve Chronograph, which is not presently functioning, for little more than the price of its Au - in hopes of repairing it for its collector's value of perhaps 5-6 times its present specie content... This little, spartan '38 Longines, however, is the favorite of my growing collection -- nearly compelling me to wear it! I rationalize that it's better to hold anything tangible and relatively rare than fiat confetti... <g>
