To all,

I am watching cnbc this morning, and seeing Jim Rogers, aka "Mr. Bowtie," futilly try to throw water on this bond rally (and subsequent rally in the S&P Futures) is pure comedy. It is too funny--it's so obvious Rogers' perennial bearish stance has left egg on his face, and yet, instead of just coming out and admitting he has been dead wrong all along, he is trying to nit-pick the numbers to try and justify his bearish stance. What a joke--why is this man on TV all the time? Isn't this the same guy who recommended a variety of bizarre investments (i.e. Sri Lankan black pepper, etc.) and panned the U.S. markets at the same time? I hope Brinker is watching this--plenty of good material for several Mr.Bowtie jokes on his show this weekend.

Then again, we could get stuck with the Goddess again this weekend. Which would be comedic in itself, albeit a more "sadistic" form of humor.

Dipy, I don't know who Perma Bear is, although my best guess would be the guy from Oppenheimer (I think his name is Michael Metz, please correct me if I'm wrong) who is always being quoted on how bearish he is. I would guess that "Georgia Bear" would be the guy who writes the "Elliot Wave Theorist", he is often bearish and I think is based in Georgia.

It never ceases to amaze me how these guys who are consistently wrong in calling for bear markets keep getting invited to speak on TV. They must be relatives or golfing buddies of the producers of the shows, because they certainly aren't on there for being market savvy.
