"I didn't read the article from AMD spokesman saying they were trying to reduce transit time from 3T to 2T." It was early last year. Watsonyouth brought it to my attention. "Should that not, under normal circumstances, seriously increased cycle time?" Sure. But APM is supposed to help them schedule better and minimize the processing time on a given piece of equipment to get desired characteristics.
