I'm not looking for utopia, I'm looking to provide a decent level of existence so that we, as Americans, can spend our time doing interesting and useful things instead of spending our entire lives saving up for medical bills and retirement homes.

IMO human beings are capable of vastly better behavior than we tend to exhibit at times. We are highly plastic in what we believe at any given time. If we get the right thoughts into our heads, there's no telling what we can achieve.

We have been conditioned to think that dog-eat-dog 'capitalism' was the 'it' of all human existence and the most efficient (ROTFLMAO) way to allocate resources. I think by now we'd have figured out that this is utter nonsense. We have been 'convinced' that things are true when they are just someone's opinion.

Once we get a new framework for looking at the world in a realistic way, we can have a much better world to live in. It's not utopia, it's just a much better life than we have now.
