AOL could go back to the upper $30's and moving to the NYSE will reduce the manipulation somewhat. To me, playing a stock like this is safer through options. In these tech wreck days I will only purchase a tech stock (or any other stock) to play the volatility if I am able to purchase a put contract near the stock purchase price. This way I can sleep at night and enjoy my weekends. Sure I pay more for this trading strategy but if I'm sure there is to be upside volatility I will catch it. If I'm wrong at least I won't get wiped out or worst yet become too scared to do the next deal that looks good. Personally, I'd like to see this stock recover so that I can short this stock through a longer term put contract. Recently, I was watching other deals and didn't notice what was happening to AOL.
