What would be most interesting is a comparison between the $$$ spent on AIPAC vs the Saudi lobby...I bet I know who wins that one, esp. if you add in all the high-priced consultants it hires who used to work for State.... Arabs have never understood US support for Israel. Never. We have the oil, why don't they support us? The basic fact is the Americans are much closer to Israelis in culture and values, both self-made democratic countries that value freedom, opportunity, smarts and guts. So they are natural allies. Which of values of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia do Americans admire?
