No one in the world has can bestow so much guilt/bribery on US lawmakers as AIPAC.

Why not? Any group that wants to oppose the AIPAC can just devote the funds and resources and attempt to achieve whatever they want. If their policy position is defensible, they will succeed. Just because AIPAC is amazingly successful is no reason other policy groups, who may be diametrically opposed to AIPAC, will not be successful. If you devote the time and the resources and your policy is better for the USA that that advocated by AIPAC, you'll get your way with the US government. On the other hand, if you sit around and whine all day about AIPAC's strengths and make no effort to put forth a counter program, your team won't get your way.

Lobbying is not rocket science.
