To infer we are helpless clueless babies, while the local power station pumps out several cubic miles of various gases and particles so our toasters work is a little misleading. We should not be in the least surprised we have an effect on the environment and the climate. That to suggest we don't know where all the fish went in the oceans is beyond the pale.
