Josh Marshall has a brief note on Nancy Pelosi's poll numbers which are surprisingly good. I've been pleasantly surprised by her tenure. I had expected, at best, a good many early stumbles before she learned her way to a skilled speakership. --------- (April 16, 2007 -- 11:11 PM EDT) That is a very impressive number. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is at 53% approval in the WaPo/ABC poll. That's even a decent number for a president. But the Speakership is an inherently partisan position -- a post far easier to villify than to mobilize around.
