I'm not a supporter of the Hemlock Society, but that's my stand and I wouldn't expect my beliefs to sway others away from it. I just recently read something from the LEF that suggests Morphine actually can cause cancer to metastasize in many cases. When I had major surgery a few years ago, they had me hooked up to a machine that would allow me to dispense morphine myself, in accordance with my pain level. The next afternoon a nurse asked if I had been shown how to use the device. I said "Yes, they did, but I don't need it". I never used a drop.
