they put the port in yesterday and she has just started her first chemo treatment today - it will take 3 to 4 hours to administer

did I post this before? if so I'm sorry, but they are being VERY aggressive with the nausea - giving her mads in the hospital, then 2 or 3 meds to take home - if the first doesn't work try the next and then the next - if they don't work call the doc and he will prescribe something else - doc said he does NOT want the nausea to get a hold, for then it is far more difficult to relieve

I've passed on your suggestions - dropped off a bunch of hand wipes and a huge paper towel package of 18 rolls that I picked up at Sams club [she cracked up over that]

she has a very helpful husband who has his own business - he is working out a schedule that will enable him to pick up a lot of the slack for her, in particular regarding the sons activities

they both are picky and clean freaks - we call them Felix and Felicia Unger - Felix will be a great help to her

thank you, all your info has been appreciated and very helpful

it's going to be a long day waiting to hear how it went for her - she gets nauseated so easily
