You got me sorta pegged, though my idea of communism was never really given a chance except in the Kibbitzum(sp?) and was rather successful...plays very well in an agrarian society. Doubt it could ever be successful in industrialized countries.

and yes, you are un- self -aggrandizing (?) and do have, more than most, a willingness to accept your errors..along with you, I bought into the Iraqi War which, had mostly good intention---I'll never forget, e.g., election day...the blue thumb marks so proudly displayed by the Iraquis who had the guts and, knowingly, responsibility to JUST DO IT. They are a good people. The rest was/is an unmitigated disaster.
