I was still at home yesterday morning when the news broke. The death count kept going up and up. I stayed in Ambler Johnson dorm one summer and my wife worked in Norris Hall for the Civil Engineering dept. On TV it all looks so familiar, yet surreal at the same time. Va Tech and Blacksburg are such laid back places, I just can't fathom something like this going down there. I feel so sorry for the families, friends of those killed and the ones injured.

Tech was once famous as an agricultural and mechanical college. It has now grown to national prominence in engineering, architecture, business and sports, as well.

From now on, Tech's going to be known as the place where the Va Tech Massacre occurred. Just makes me sick. What a sick SOB to do something like this.

God give solace to the Hokie Nation.

Greg.
