We were the "aggressors" in a lot of wars.

Maybe Lincoln should be blamed for the deaths of millions of Americans for "starting" the Civil War. Had the South simply seceded like they wanted to, we could have avoided all of that bloodshed.


First, hundreds of thousands died during the Civil War, not millions.

Secondly, there are historians who contend Lincoln should have let the South go. But that runs counter to the American need to muscle people into doing what it wants.
