I will try again Chris and make the assumption that i am wrong about you. Two things rile Jews the most--one is the holocaust deniers and i dont believe you have ever done that and the second is the dual loyalty charge. Yes, Jews have a special place in their hearts for Israel much as Italians do with Italy, maybe its a bit stronger because israel has been under siege since its founding. But just as Italian-Americans fought Mussolini during WW2 and it must have been very hard for a US Soldier of Italian descent in that theater, Jews would fight against a jewish version. We pray that this never happens of course and we dont think it likely.
Anyway you have constructed a fp position around hatred for israel. The Islamists would just fade away if there was no Israel and oil would be plentiful and cheap and blah blah blah. You miss the key point that israel is not the issue. Nor is it the US for the most part. Its the hundreds of years of colonialism by europe that has caused this. Colonialism was often based on humiliation of the people colonized. The inheritors of this heritage have been US and Israel and its erroneous. The euros in their guilt fall over backward to repent except the germans because they havae a bigger wrong to overcome. This is going nowhere. I dont expect you to suddenly change your mind but i would ask you to refrain form the dual loyalty charge against me, rat, lazarre and nadine because it is nowhere near the truth. By the way do you not see that part of US fp should be allying with democracies around the world regardless of Metternich calculations.
