The BS splatters both sides. No, sorry. Pork is an unfortunate, but necessary part of the negotiations process in congress currently. There isn't any way around it completely. The question is, IS IT MANAGED or allowed to run rampant and drive the dollar down by a full 50%. In the republicans case, it is the latter. In the dems case, they put overall controls on spending such that pork is limited. Thats good management vs bad management. Not perfect management but certainly better. Virtually every republican big spending apologizer does what you are doing, focus in minor details as if both parties spend the same amount of money. WRONG, NOT EVEN CLOSE. Its the old "they are all bad apples" argument. Bush stinks.
