You might have heard about the guy in Michigan who went on a shooting rampage a week ago monday, shooting a secretary and two men. It made national news. The woman died. My wife knew these people. Maggie had just retired and was staying on to help the company through tax season. The two partners are really nice guys. The psycho had a long history of mentally unstable behaviour, which was relevant to his losing his job the prior Friday. His wife had left him a few weeks earlier. When she did he applied for a pistol permit. Your "gun control" people denied him a permit because he had a history of mental instability so he just bought a rifle and used that instead. Based on his timing his wife can consider herself very lucky to be alive today.

If I had been there that day, the police wouldn't have caught him on I-75. They would found him dead in the parking lot with a bullet through his head from one of my registered pistols. Instead my tax dollars have to support him in prison for the rest of his pitiful, worthless life.

Forgive me if I sound dubious about the benefits of gun control.
